Your AI assistant can now source candidates with Wellfound Reach

Your next recruiting workflow can start in Claude, Codex, Grokbot, or Muse.

We’ve launched an MCP connection for Wellfound Reach, giving compatible AI assistants access to your sourcing projects, searches, and candidate matches. Access to the Reach MCP is free until October 1.

Give your agent a hiring goal and the context behind it. It can test different sourcing approaches, review the candidates each returns, and refine its next search based on what it finds. With an agent that supports scheduled tasks and connected tools, you can also build a workflow that creates daily shortlists and uses new hiring feedback to keep improving.

Let your agent run the experiments

Finding the right people often takes several rounds of trying a search, inspecting the results, and adjusting your approach. Your agent can do more of that experimentation for you.

Ask it to explore different combinations of skills, experience, titles, and company backgrounds. It can preview candidate pools, inspect sample profiles and evaluation evidence, and use those results to decide what to try next. Then it can bring you the most promising approaches and explain the tradeoffs.

“Use my engineering lead requirements to test several sourcing approaches in Reach. Review sample candidates, refine the approaches based on what you find, and recommend which searches to pursue. Keep my must-haves fixed.”

The value is in the iteration: your agent can learn from the candidates a search actually returns and use that evidence to improve the next attempt. You can review its recommendations before saving changes to your existing search.

Build a workflow that runs every day

If your agent supports scheduled tasks that can use connected tools, you can make sourcing a recurring workflow. Have it review new candidates each morning, check them against your requirements, and add the strongest matches to your Reach shortlist with a summary of why they fit.

“Every weekday morning, review new candidates for our engineering lead role. Add the strongest matches to my Reach shortlist and summarize the relevant experience and any gaps I should review. Skip anyone already shortlisted or marked Not a fit.”

Reach provides the sourcing and candidate tools. The schedule runs through your agent’s task system, so availability depends on the assistant and setup you use.

Put new hiring feedback to work

Your agent can connect sourcing to the rest of your hiring workflow. If it has access to your ATS, Notion, or other tools, it can use role briefs, hiring manager notes, and new interview feedback to guide its next round of searches.

“Before the next sourcing run, review new interview feedback in my connected ATS. Use it to refine the search, keep our must-haves fixed, and tell me what changed and why.”

Together, these steps create a workflow you can build around how your team hires: experiment with searches, review and shortlist candidates, then use new feedback to improve the next run. Access to other systems comes from your agent’s connections to those tools.

Connect your agent to Reach

Share our setup guide with your assistant and ask it to help connect your Wellfound Reach account. It includes instructions for Claude, Codex, and other compatible MCP clients.

Try the Reach MCP free until October 1. Bring a role, your hiring context, and a workflow you want your agent to take on.
