    About
    Achievements

    ishBowl (Co-Founder)

    - Raised startup capital from an early employee at Facebook.

    - Earned our first $ from Nike.

    - Successfully pivoted from a consumer-facing web and mobile platform to a B2B subscription model.

    Walu International (Founder)

    - Inspired by my world travels, I started Walu International (hygiene and sanitation in Papua New Guinea).

    - Created a top-25 awareness campaign by a charity in the USA called "Give A Crap". Each time somebody crapped in the USA they would donate $.50 to help others gain access to the same services in Papua New Guinea and Nicaragua.

    - Led a team of 25+ volunteers.

    Life

    - Traveled the world on a seven-month surf trip after completing my undergrad.

    - Survived an attack from 5 wild dogs in Samoa.

    - Worked remotely for a year with my wife in South America, Europe, and Africa. We made dollars and spent pesos. We hiked glaciers in Patagonia, camped under the stars in the Sahara desert, and drank coconuts on the beaches of Brazil.

    Q&A
    What's your favorite non-business book?

    Shantaram

What words of advice would you give your younger self?

In your 20's, you’re so concerned with what people think about you. In your 40's, you tell people, ‘I don’t give a damn what anybody thinks about me’. In your 60's, you realize that nobody was ever thinking about you at all.

What's the best way for people to get in touch with you?

    [email protected]

What words of wisdom do you live by?

EENASWASI- Every entrepreneur needs a spouse with a stable income.

What's something you wish you had done years earlier?

    Learned Spanish.

    What's an obstacle you've overcome?

I was in a wheelchair for three months when I was younger due to a baseball accident.

What's the most useful business-related book you've ever read?

"What do you do with an idea?" This was the first children's book I ever read to my daughter when she was two days old. There are entrepreneurial undertones, but it's a reminder to take action on your ideas whether you are 2 days old or 65 years old.

What's the most creative thing you've ever done?

For my wedding, my best friend gave us $500. For his wedding, I gave him $501.

    What's your super power?

    Patience
