Yeogirl founded mySimon.com in 1998 and served as CTO. It was acquired by CNET in February of 2000, for $700M.
In 1999, Yeogirl also founded the Wisenut.com search engine company and served as CTO. Wisenut was acquired by LookSmart in April of 2002.
In 2000, Yeogirl also founded Wisenut, Inc. in Korea (formerly Korea WISEnut) and served as Chairman. In 2005, Wisenut was selected as one of the 500 fastest growing companies in Asia Pacific by Deloitte Technology and is on track to go IPO in a few years.
In 2004, Yeogirl also founded Become.com and served as Chairman and CTO until March of 2007. It was acquired by Connexity in 2014.
Since 2007, Yeogirl has been building a global cross-border e-commerce platform at Gshopper.com.
