What's the most useful business-related book you've ever read?

"Strategy Beyond the Hockey Stick" by Chris Bradley, Martin Hirt, and Sven Smit, three partners from McKinsey and Company. This book helped me to understand the way that one of the top consulting firms approaches strategic decision-making.

What's your favorite non-business book?

"The Guide" by Peter Heller. It is a book about a fly-fishing guide in Western Colorado that begins work on a strange stretch of river. The story quickly takes a turn and leaves you wondering after each turn of the page, all while beautifully describing t

If money were not an issue, what would you be doing right now?

I would probably be a ski patroller. I love helping people, I love skiing, and I love working hard outdoors. Not sure you can get more idyllic than that!

What words of advice would you give your younger self?

Read more books. I only recently (within the past 5 years) have really taken a liking to reading. When I was younger, I thought of it more as a chore than a fantastic way to learn.

What's the most creative thing you've ever done?

I love making art. Recently, I decided to experiment and painted a few large sheets of paper with earthy tones and then ripped them and positioned them in a frame to make them look like mountains. I think that they came out pretty well!
