I would say 2 things stand out in my mind. First is to have built a company as a single founder, Bueda, Inc. Despite not having achieved the traction I was hoping for, it went on to raise institutional funding and was an incredibly hard and rewarding experience. During this period we developed impressive technology, such as a highly optimized graph database to hold freebase in memory and achieve query latency in the microseconds. Despite the raw power of cutting edge technology, the most impressive aspect of it was building a motivated and amazing team running on a very low budget that produced impressive products. The second was to have completed a PhD in one of the top computer science schools in the world. A PhD from Carnegie Mellon is very hard but you get to hang out with some of the smartest people anywhere and you learn a lot.
Describe the most impressive thing you've done.I am looking for an opportunity to disrupt a big market and work with highly talented individuals to create amazing products that reach millions of people.
