Fellow, Aspen Institute. Engineer, Facebook, Co-founder, @PrivateCore. Past: @AppDirect, @Google. PhD, @Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
I co-founded PrivateCore to build a private computing platform for cloud infrastructure. We're working to help individuals or organizations safely use cloud computing resources, without ceding control of their data.
During my time at AppDirect, I led the development of core components of the product including search, API design, email, authentication and authorization. We successfully launched private-label marketplaces for a large telecommunication provider and a mobile development platform.
While at Google, I led the development of Google's two-step verification system. In 2010, I received a Google Founder's Award in relation to the Chinese security incident response. I also released the open source Keyczar library.
