Stephan Schubert is one of Germany's most successful internet pioneers. In 1998 together with two partners he founded OnVista AG. The company went public in 2000. Stephan and his co-founders made OnVista the largest technical service provider for web-based stock exchange information systems in Europe and developed onvista.de to become the largest financial website in the German-speaking internet. They sold the technology business to New York based Interactive Data Corporation in 2005. The website was exited to Société Générale two years later and today operates as an online bank.
Since then, he has been investing in German internet startups, where he actively supports founders in all stages of building their companies. Additionally, Stephan is running the industry holding "Schubert & Co" which acquires old ecomony SMEs in special situations and improves their businesses by leveraging the team's knowledge in overcoming obstacles that companies face with regards to the internet.
