Created and led a cloud-based SaaS platform for interactive fiction on web, iOS and Android from proposal in late 2020 through development, alpha and beta launches in 2021-2022, and then into global launch and early scaling in 2023. Hit all product development goals on time and substantially under budget. Grew team from 1 to 70 employees. Developed and hosted tens of thousands of hours of quality interactive content from top creatives, including multiple NYT Best Selling authors.
* Designed and built from the ground up a unique multisided marketplace connecting writers, artists and players of interactive fiction.
* Secured and efficiently deployed a total of $45M in development funding from internal R&D fund.
* Maintained the support of executive stakeholders through a series of 12 quarterly C-suite reviews.
* Staffed up and managed 5 internal and 2 external agile dev teams to successfully ship code and hit product benchmarks, including a global mobile launch across 90 territories.
* Responsible for all product planning and results, including operational requirements, 5 Year Plan, financial models, roadmap and P&L.
* Conducted quantitative and qualitative research on customer needs indicating opportunities for Choices: Stories You Play in adjacent genres, including thrillers and horror stories.
* Carried out quantitative analysis to optimize content production levels for Choices: Stories: You Play, trimming contest costs by 50% and saving $10M / year in costs.
* Provided data-driven insights to user acquisition, product management, customer support... more and executive leadership teams.
* Created necessary tools and infrastructure for business intelligence activities, including data models used in games, SQL backends, Tableau frontends, and various statistical models.
* Helped enhance Choices' first-time user experience (FTUE) and economy through AB testing, improving D7 retention by 20% and D7 LTV by 8%.
