Built the video server for the world's first all digital video on demand network in 2 months, in 1994. Built first large VoIP gateway for HP in 1998. Released the first open source 802.11 wireless mesh in 2002. Authored the 802.11 SoftMAC implementation in the Linux kernel. Wrote the first academic paper on Bitcoin in 2011, inventing on chain atomic swaps, 789 citations. Built a bitcoin mining system in 7.5 months including tape out of a 1 billion transistor 28nm ASIC. Reduced the CPU usage of Cisco's wireless packet forwarding engine by a factor of 8.
