Sanat Rao

Sanat Rao is a venture capital investor and M&A executive with 20 years of experience across investments, M&A, strategy, consulting, business development and operational roles.

Sanat started his career as a chip design engineer at Intel on the Pentium IV and Core processor design teams. He also led Intel's $100M embedded business in emerging markets covering India, LAR and SEA.

At Intel Capital , Sanat was on the investment and corporate development teams. He was a partner and founding member at iSPIRT, where he led 12 M&A transactions.

Most recently, Sanat was a venture partner at IDG Ventures India and led investments in the fintech, SaaS and AI/ML space. He also led IDG Ventures’ exit activities via secondary sales and M&A. Sanat is a founding partner at Shyn Capital, a prop fund in blockchain.

Sanat holds BS & MS degrees in Computer Engineering, an MBA degree and was a visiting lecturer at Stanford GSB.
