What's the most useful business-related book you've ever read?

"Not Fade Away" the biography of Peter Barton. It's a stark reminder of how our personal relationships with friends and family eclipse anything we could ever hope to achieve in business.

What's your favorite non-business book?

"I Seem To Be A Verb" by Buckminster Fuller. His undying optimism is particularly refreshing in the face of today's seemingly unrelenting mayhem.

What words of advice would you give your younger self?

Care less what other people think. Find validation inside not outside.

What's your super power?

Helping you tell a better story.

What words of wisdom do you live by?

"It may be lucky, but it is never an accident."

What was the most impactful class you took in school?

Death, Dying, and the Healing Arts. Nothing beats wrestling with the edges of life and a path to fulfillment when only 19 years old.

Which founders or startups do you most admire?

I deeply respect Evan Williams' thoughtfulness. The Collisons might be the two smartest people with whom I've interacted so it makes their strong empathy for others that much more impressive. I love the daring and tenacity of Shivani Siroya at Tala.

What's an obstacle you've overcome?

Impostor syndrome.
