    vpod.tv received numerous Innovation awards in Europe and the USA. In 2006, vpod.tv raised a $5.1m series A from Innovacom, the investment arm affiliated with Orange. Angel investors and advisors included serial entrepreneurs Martin Varsavsky (Fon) and Loïc Le Meur (Seesmic/LeWeb), Xavier Niel (Iliad/free.fr).

    I was in charge of product development, marketing, sales, HR, finance and investor relations. I sold my stake in the company in January 2010, after it became profitable in just over 3 years.

    Glowria pioneered a unique revenue-sharing business model with all major studios (Warner, Universal, Fox Pathé Europa, etc.) and partners (Carrefour, AOL, FranceLoisirs, etc.).

    After joining as CTO then COO in 2003, I left for AOL Europe in 2004. I was called back in December 2004, and took over the interim CEO role. My job was to streamline operations (catalog acquisition, sales & marketing, IT, logistics, customer care, site development, cost accounting) and prepare for a next round of financing. We completed a third round of financing of 4m€ (June 2005) to bring the company to profitability and launch our video-on-demand service, bringing the total financing to ~16m€.

    At the same time, I was responsible for all our distribution channels (major portals, ISPs...) and marketing mix and signed 5 major deals.

    The company was acquired by Netgem, a public company, in December 2007.
