Achievements
I hold an A.B. in biochemistry and computer science from the University of California, Berkeley, and an M.S. in computer science and an M.D. from Stanford University. I am named as inventor of more than 65 issued U.S. patents.
I was also a doctoral candidate in the computer science department at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, leaving in 1990 to found Aradigm Corporation. I left Aradigm in 2000 to enter private practice and found Flow Pharma. In 2013 I founded Immunity Project, a non profit initiative dedicated to developing a free HIV vaccine.
