    Founder, Co-Founder & CTO 2012 - 2013 (about 1 year)
Created the data mining backend for Augur which spidered many web services to find surprisingly detailed information about any person. This mined data was combined with statistical... more learning to automatically personalize websites, optimizing the experience for each user in order to maximize conversions. As a founder I assembled the initial team and got us into Techstars Boulder 2013.

Founder, Executive Director 2020 - Present (almost 6 years)
Along with a team of volunteers, I founded and run a non-profit that has restored the historic San Francisco event venue. I balanced a thin budget, many volunteers, several... more paid employees, and a myriad of other tasks that made my time running a tech startup seem simple by comparison. We are now SF Chinatown’s premier venue and one of only a handful of mid-size theaters operating in San Francisco, regularly hosting cabarets, concerts, ballets, conferences, and more.

Also worked within the security org on server-to-server encryption and certificate management, including building dashboards for disruption monitoring and alerting.

    Glass Teleprompter
GlassPrompter is the Teleprompter for Google Glass.  It displays the text of what I'm supposed to say onscreen so I can read it onstage.  But it doesn’t… · More just advance the text at a set speed, it listens as I talk and moves the text to match my pace.  It does this by listening to what I'm saying and running speech recognition in the background, matching up what I say to the script I have entered.  Since it follows along as I speak, it can also advance slides when I get to the right spots automatically.

Built over 24 hours at the AT&T developer summit hackathon using Xamarin.Android
    AllThePeople.net
AllThePeople.net is an automated people directory. It's completely free and surprisingly comprehensive. AllThePeople.net learns from a variety of public… · More social data, including Linkedin, Twitter, Facebook, Flickr, YouTube, Google Plus, Gravatar, GitHub, CrunchBase, AboutMe, Foursquare, Instagram, Pinterest, and plenty more. It is completely automated and requires no user interaction or manual data entry.

    About
    Achievements

In addition to founding an innovative startup which went on to Techstars and acquisition, I have won over 15 hackathons, worked for strategically important teams at enterprises such at Microsoft and Salesforce, and I regularly build new products for fun or freelance.

I have over a decade of experience on the Microsoft stack (C#, .Net) in addition to several years of Node.js, Ruby on Rails, and Python. My work often involves machine learning, web scraping, and integrating many disparate systems. Some of my more interesting projects include the AllThePeople.net social media data mining system and a teleprompter for Google Glass. I am also experienced at presenting at conferences and managing events in both professional and entertainment contexts.
