My passion for supporting global Entrepreneurship stretches back over a decade. As the CEO of Forticom, a $1bn+ market value social networking business in Russia / CIS, I grew the company to >100m users, >$100m revenues and >300 employees before selling it to to Mail.ru (LSE: MAIL). Drawing upon that experience, as the Founder of Rise Capital, and previously at Tiger Global, I have been fortunate to back some of the most successful Internet entrepreneurs in Emerging Markets globally, investing in and serving on the board of companies like YY in China (Nasdaq: YY), Navent in Latin America, Iroko in Africa, Belezanaweb in Brazil, Ivi.ru in Russia, Hopscotch in India, and Redmart in Southeast Asia – companies that have gone on to create billions of dollars of market value and thousands of jobs.
Likewise, my passion for Education led me to found MarcoPolo, and previously to found Kellogg Insight, the Kellogg School of Management's official web-based business journal.
