    About
    Achievements

    • I have been constantly studying and digging new mental models by pursuing multi-disciplinary fields and consuming many many books. I believe that there is no achievement bigger than any credentialing by the society/authorities/institutions.

    • I worked at a data-intelligence startup, SocialCops when I was 19. Witnessed the transition from 6 people in a basement to a 35 membered team in a full-fledged office. I learned about the importance of teams, culture, collaboration, and empathy more than anything from this stint.

    • I decided to quit SocialCops to reflect on the fast-paced 1 year of my life and contemplate decisions, work methodologies, and people. To not be complacent, while doing so I picked up my interests in other fields like Digital Anthropology, Modern Political Concepts, Behavioural Economics, Network Effects, Crypto and decentralized applications, Soft Power etc. and produced independent research in these fields.

    • While in college, I led and founded several orgs.

    Q&A
What's the most useful business-related book you've ever read?

The Hard Things about Hard Things by Ben Horowitz

    What's your favorite non-business book?

The Catcher in the Rye by J.D. Salinger.

If money were not an issue, what would you be doing right now?

Building a scientific community to promote decentralized knowledge sharing. Credentialing is one of the major aspects of University edu but the same won't be the case when a world of netizen autodidacts will be responsible for most original ideas.

What words of advice would you give your younger self?

Reading and staying fit are the best investments one can make in the self.

Being inquisitive and searching for the truth is not that bad a thing. But it is important for one to stay in the present. To welcome the present in an absolute sense.

What's the most creative thing you've ever done?

Made a web to SMS notification system to report page changes from various university entrance exam sites in the pre-mobile internet times in India. Realized early in life that most notifs are a distraction & serve the dopamine hungry part of self.

Which founders or startups do you most admire?

    Naval Ravikant, Angel List

Prukalpa Sankar & Varun Banka, SocialCops

    Joel Gascoigne, Buffer

    Anand Sanwal, CB Insights

    Des Traynor, Intercom

    What's your super power?

I craft magic into all things that I do. I try to surprise myself every day and often even I don't know what I am capable of.

What's the best way for people to get in touch with you?

    @Divyansh Saini on Twitter.

What words of wisdom do you live by?

"Embrace your weirdness, your background, your instinct. If the keys are not there, they do not exist."

    Ben Horowitz, THTAHT

What was the most impactful class you took in school?

Gandhian Thoughts, Developmental Biology, Modern Political Concepts

What's something you wish you had done years earlier?

Writing. The articulation and tangible structure to create mental models is probably the single most important advantages of penning down thoughts. Realized pretty late that it is not just enough to read.
