Bootstrapped a mobile application developer through the dot-com bust and got millions of users before smartphones were even a thing... Company was built to last - 16 years later it is growing and flourishing as a subsidiary of the world's biggest corporate travel agency (CWT).
Invented the "personal travel assistant" category (WorldMate, Tripit and many others since) including actionable push alerts, e-mail itinerary parsing and many other services that are today part of the state-of-the-art with mobile travel products as well as calendars like Google Calendar, iCal etc.
Served as EiR at SRI Ventures and successfully spun out Desti - an early mover in AI-based travel assistance which was acquired by Here (fka Nokia Maps / Navteq) to rescue the struggling Search & Places organization.
In my early career - I managed a $200M missile-control-center software project for the Israeli DoD; initiated and authored a substantive revision of Israel's Air Defense doctrine as a 22-yr old officer.

Piloting Palm - The story of Palm, with a focus on consumer products, the attention to detail, empathy for the end-user, dog-fooding and the effect of customers who fall in love with your product.

Politics? Education?
What words of advice would you give your younger self?
Don't get stuck in intractable situations you can't control. Sooner or later a storm will come.
