I co-founded Gengo, the human-crowdsourced translation platform. We raised over $26M from VCs including Atomico, Intel Capital, and 500 Startups, and were acquired by Lionbridge. Highlights as CTO include building the original engineering team and infrastructure. Highlights as CEO include closing our biggest customers, achieving profitability, and being acquired at 85 employees.

Having built a successful global business from Japan serving customers worldwide, I'm now interested in expanding my exposure in the APAC region. I enjoy bridging the deep technical and business domains. Opportunities with startups building technical infrastructure and needing business development and expansion excite me. In my "spare time" I race triathlons (15 races including 4 half-Ironmans so far), and would relish an opportunity to merge my interests in entrepreneurship and sports.
