If money were not an issue, what would you be doing right now?
Exactly what I am doing. Traveling whenever and wherever I want, living in a sizeable house in a great area, being married to the cutest girl in the world and having two beautiful, intelligent and loving daughters...and my first granddaughter.
What words of advice would you give your younger self?
Concentrate on the important things in life and know you can do anything you put your mind to. Don't believe in fairy tales and let logic guide you first and your heart second. True strength is mental, not physical. Recognize true friends.
What's the most creative thing you've ever done?
Written a book and a few musical compositions.
Which founders or startups do you most admire?
Without naming names, the ones who create an atmosphere that will better mankind, such as new forms of energy, medical advancements and philanthropic achievements that actually benefit the intended recipients.
What's your super power?
Thinking on my feet, understanding human nature and compassion - so there's three.
What's the best way for people to get in touch with you?
Through the AngelList venue or LinkedIn or Twitter. I get many requests for investments and/or advice and the like, and I pick and choose to whom I respond. Only a fraction of the correspondence that comes to me is answered.
What words of wisdom do you live by?
Do unto others as you would have them do unto you, but do not expect everyone to behave in the manner you would under the same circumstances.
What aspects of your work are you most passionate about?
Looking at new projects that are fun as well as worthwhile, and hopefully, profitable.
What was the most impactful class you took in school?
Cost accounting, because it cemented the idea that I do not like the technical aspects of business. I enjoy looking at the overall picture and, while understanding the nitty gritty of the subject, it was not something I wanted to do all my life.
What's something you wish you had done years earlier?
Ended this question and answer marathon. The questions never end, but my patience, alas,has....
