If money were not an issue, what would you be doing right now?

If money were not an issue, I'd give every human food, water, shelter with indoor plumbing, vaccinations, education, healthcare, high-quality internet access, and an annual device upgrade.

What words of advice would you give your younger self?

Listen to your gut. Put the wise mind in charge of the ego. Don't take a ten-year break from writing.

What's the most creative thing you've ever done?

My first several answers are underground projects that I don't wish to disclose ;)

But Keen.io was a pretty darn creative endeavor, I must say!

Which founders or startups do you most admire?

Github and Zapier, for autonomy.
Ghost, for doing it their way.
Patagonia, for treating people like people.
Twilio, for harnessing emergent value.
Stripe, for intellectual rigor.
Brad Feld, for betting on the potential in people – while nurturing it.

I have a strong sense for the super powers of other people, even when they're nascent.
