Achievements
Proud to be one of the pioneers of “solo video journalism”. With just a backpack, video camera, and laptop, I produced, filmed, and edited hundreds of documentaries and news reports from all over the world, including North Korea, Iraq, Iran, Egypt, Cuba, Nepal, China, Tibet, Pakistan, India, and much of sub-saharan Africa.
Freelancer for the New York Times, Time, PBS, and Current TV. I also produced, filmed, and edited two feature-length documentaries, Grassroots and Disengagement.
