GP at Zetta Venture Partners, no longer angel investing. Eng leader @ Facebook, VMware, Trilogy, startups. Stanford CS.
As an engineering and product leader at Facebook, VMware, and startups, I have built software across consumer and enterprise customers, and across technology stacks from web to mobile to distributed systems to kernel to big data and cloud. The one "constant" has been high-growth.
At VMware I built core virtualization components, internal infrastructure, and ultimately established and ran the Desktop Business Unit, a $150M line of business. At Facebook, I converted News Feed to ML, spearheaded our "mobile first" initiative, and led redesigns of features from Photos to Search to Questions. I also tinkered with cherished traditions like recruiting and on-boarding.
Describe the most impressive thing you've done.I'd like to meet founders using big data and AI to transform industries.
I believe the next generation of enterprise software will be products that combine software with data to offer their customers unique insights, network effects, and AI-driven capabilities.
