Gordon Chaffee

I have been a senior engineering director at Google in security and privacy leading teams up to 600 people, a startup founder, an EIR at Lightspeed Venture Partners, an active angel investor, a mentor, and a company advisor.

I was senior vice president of engineering at Riverbed Technology and was responsible for Riverbed's family of WAN optimization products. I joined Riverbed in late 2003 when it had 30 employees and no revenue, and I led the engineering team that delivered the products that propelled it to over 2600 employees and $1B in annual revenue. After 10 years, I left the company in October 2013.

Long ago, I was active in the open source community. I wrote Linux's vfat filesystem and completed the first ports of Tcl/Tk and Expect to Windows NT.
