I co-founded Lex Machina out of joint project between Stanford Computer Science Department and Stanford Law School. I built an engineering team and the company’s engineering infrastructure from the ground up, recruiting some of the best engineering talent on the planet. Before co-founding Lex Machina, I was the Director of Engineering at the Stanford Intellectual Property Litigation Clearinghouse (IPLC). I was responsible for all project engineering matters, including product implementation, system architecture, and recruiting. I worked as a Senior Product Manager at Sun Microsystems, where I was responsible for the product requirements for the J2EE 1.4 Platform. I studied theoretical physics at Yale University and Moscow State University, Russia. I won a gold medal at the XIV International Physics Olympiad and three gold medals at the National USSR Physics Olympiad.
