Leading a very large and complex deal that took 14 months to close and involved one venture backed company on one side (my side), and one publicly-traded very well-known company on the other side.
The deal made the division of our venture-backed company profitable overnight, extended distribution in a very meaningful way and help us grow our core business by adding much needed resources (along with more than 60 pages of contract).
It required us to show a unified front in our discussions (tough given the number of stakeholders) and be extremely aligned internally (even tougher) while discussing with competitors to create leverage.
To close the deal, I had to involve the Global CMO of the publicly-traded company along with the CEO of a top-3 advertising agency.
Leading that final discussion on final issues, solving them and create consensus to cross the finish line made my day. I couldn't stop smiling for the next few days.
