I identified the need for a central transformation and change team within KPMG Ireland and successfully pitched leadership to establish a team dedicated to not only the digital transformation of the firm but also building a culture of innovation within the firm.
Ireland was bailed out by the IMF, EC & ECB (the Troika) in 2010 due to its banking crisis. To become the first country to exit its bailout Ireland needed to prove the banking system had been repaired.
I pitched for, set up, led and delivered KPMG's assessment of the largest of these banks for the Troika in under 3 months with a team of over 120 people reporting to me. I managed all presentations to the Troika and reporting to the Government during this time while managing all (contentious) interactions with the bank's senior management to ensure delivery within the (almost impossible) timelines.
Our final assessment was widely reported on and Ireland successfully exited the bailout at the end of 2013.
