At the completion of my advanced imaging training in 2004, I joined the early telemedicine revolution as one of the first radiologists at Virtual Radiologic Corp. which grew 3 years later to an IPO valued at a $70,000,000, and was then taken private at a valuation of $294,000,000.
Later, with a colleague I developed a new model of mixed-mode radiology services, adding onsite radiologist coverage to hospitals that required both onsite presence and offsite support. That company, Radiology 24/7, grew to multi-million dollar revenue in a very short period of time, and was acquired by Alliance HealthCare Services.
Today, I am medical director at several Fortune 500 companies, including Microsoft, Sprint, Walt Disney, United Airlines, BP Oil, BMW America, Toyota Motor Corp, and Miller Coors, where I provide corporate level medical management of the entire spectrum of teleradiology and telemedicine services. I am a practicing physician, licensed in 40 states.
