I started Wistia when I was 22 years old with my co-founder Brendan Schwartz.
We raised $1.4M in angel funding in 2008 and 2010 and never raised venture funding. In 2017, we brought in $17.3M in debt to buy out our own company and take back total control of the business. To accomplish this, we have scaled Wistia profitability and creatively and have worked hard to live our values of creativity, presentation, simplicity, and long term company thinking.
