    Founders Den
    Partner 2014 - Present (over 12 years)
Founders Den is an exclusive, referral-based entrepreneur community that brings together seasoned FOUNDERS from Friendster, Dropbox, Twitch (and many more), INVESTORS such... more as DCVC, Maveron, and Norwest Venture Partners, and STARTUPS such as AdBlock, August Smartlock, Docker and Plaid. Founders Den was also the SF-base for Gavin Newsom while he was Lieutenant Governor of California. I serve, part-time, as an operating presence for startups in our network.

Here are some companies that I've been involved with since joining Founders Den:
    - August Smartlock (partnerships, business development)
    - Zipline International (people operations)
    - Fidocure (sales operations)
    - Roshi (fundraising)
    - Lily Robotics (business operations)
    - Naked Labs (early hires)
    - Heads Up Health (go-to-market)
    - Pace Avenue (co-founded)
    Pace Avenue
    Pace Avenue
    Founder, COO 2016 - 2019 (about 3 years)
Created a marketplace connecting homeowners and contractors with lenders of PACE financing, a cost-effective, municipality-based lending program for energy-efficient home... more upgrades. Awarded a $3M U.S. DOE Grant to reduce marketing costs through the development of a predictive algorithm. Increased revenue per customer and decreased customer acquisition costs through the bundling of energy efficiency products and streamlining the sales-to-install process.
    SRECTrade
    SRECTrade
    Founder, CEO 2008 - 2013 (about 5 years)
Created a marketplace that simplified the process for solar producers to register, track and trade their solar credits (SRECs) with utilities, establishing the first public,... more transparent price in a nascent solar market. As a market-based mechanism for solar adoption, SRECs are a critical driver of solar investment across U.S. states. Profitable since 2012, SRECTrade is one of the few success stories to have survived the tumultuous early years of the solar industry.

    About
    Achievements

SRECTrade solved a need for a solar energy trading platform in the nascent markets created by state renewable portfolio standards. As CEO, I implemented an organic content marketing plan and channel go-to-market strategy that established a leading position in our industry. Within 3 years, the company became profitable and, over a decade later, while many industry titans have gone bankrupt, the company continues to grow and play a leading role in a very challenging solar industry.

At Pace Avenue, we identified a significant opportunity that had recently been created by local governments to help homeowners upgrade their homes for better energy- and water-efficiency. After receiving a US Department of Energy grant, we built a platform that reduced customer acquisition costs through a combination of product bundling and predictive analytics.
