Given the internship counted towards degree course credits the work program needed to be a challenging real world research and analysis assignment. It was also important to introduce the students to the culture of China through a program of language classes, calligraphy, music and sightseeing. The internships proved very successful and I believe provided an appreciation and deeper understanding of the country.
