I started my career in 2005 with ICICI Bank in the International Private Banking products division. I helped raise USD 400 mn for two PE funds through ICICI Bank’s network.
Post that I founded 'Crepeteria' - a chain of quick-serve restaurants. Got seed funded from an institution and ran it for 4 years expanding it to 3 cities.
Post Crepeteria exit, I have been on the investments side, first in a boutique investment bank and then joined Motilal Oswal PE Fund (MOPE) on the investments side.
At MOPE, have been instrumental in 2 exits for the fund which has given MoCs of 17x (IPO exit) and 7x (market sale) besides making investments in 2 companies.
Was on the board as an observer for 3 portfolio companies. Have seen the complete investment life-cycle.

I have been on all the three sides of a transaction - an entrepreneur, banker, and an investor.

Brian Chesky (co-founder of Airbnb) – the struggle, the grit, the tenacity, hustle, resourcefulness, curiosity – all needed elements for an entrepreneur.

I do admire Naval Ravikant (founder of Angellist). One of the deep thinkers of our times.

What's your super power?

I can read through people in the first meeting itself. It is a trait acquired because of experience of meeting people, a bit of intuition and understanding body language
