Adelle McElveen

Being at the helm of the San Francisco Fashion Film Festival and producing a successful event is by far my biggest achievement to date. In the early stages neither me nor my co-founders were sure of how to make our dream a reality. I took it upon myself to research the organizational structure of other film festivals, and to seek input for individuals with some experience in the industry. I researched the potential cost of big-ticket items such as theater rental, film permissions, and printing collateral; then created a budget and a fundraising plan. Throughout the duration of the festival, whether it was attracting sponsors, negotiating film screening rights, or creating the master programming matrix, I proactively taught myself how to tackle the next task every step of the way. With hard work, flexibility and absolute relentlessness I was instrumental in producing a successful three day festival that garnered a flurry of press and attracted several hundred audience members.
