Before working at Microsoft, I started a company that gave college students a walled-garden marketplace to post classifieds and act through a fully-private internal messaging service. Although built for many colleges, we first launched at University of Maryland where we garnered over 500 students and enabled countless interactions. That experience was the first of many that helped me find and establish myself as self-motivated, passionate, and wear-er of many hats.
After showing off the working app at our university's career fair, I found that this was my key to the top of the software industry, eventually choosing Microsoft.
At Microsoft, I have been implementing large portions of the new UX in the upcoming Surface Hub 2. When a user walks up to the device, authenticates, uses the start menu, or transfers a file (and more), they are experiencing the impact of my contributions. Hub has been sold to over 2,000 enterprise customers, and leads the collaborative device market.
