Mid/Senior Level Quality Assurance Engineer (Remote)

We are looking for a self-driven passionate Mid/Senior Level Quality Assurance Engineer to join our growing team.

You would be a key QA engineer working on our flagship product, the Property Management Platform with a team of about a dozen other engineers, developers, and product managers.

We're looking for someone who has a focus on quality and a sense of pride in their work. This person should also be able to be assertive and also flexible, while also being excited and curious about finding the best ways to solve problems within the context of our business strategy. Our customers are short term rental and vacation rental managers who manage between 5-1,000 properties. They rely on Hostfully’s platform to run their business, including:

• Instant distribution across leading bookings platforms Airbnb, Booking.com, Vrbo and Google
• Streamline and automate operations
• Automate and ease communications with travelers and owners

We are looking for a self-driven engineer to test our products -- making them more powerful and easier to use for our customers.

Your main goals as a QA Engineer will be to collaborate closely with the team to ensure high-quality software delivery that accelerates development velocity. You will take ownership of critical quality assurance processes and play a key role in validating components essential to our customers' success. Your contributions will directly impact the reliability and performance of our systems, making a tangible difference to the business. We’re looking for a proactive and detail-oriented individual who thrives on solving complex challenges and is eager to elevate their expertise to the next level.

What You Will Do:

• Deliver high-quality releases
• Develop and execute web application tests manually and cover Sanity/Regression testing
• Assist in Bug Grooming and Customer Support inquiries
• Work Independently on API Automation and coach team members if required
• Take initiative to communicate proactively with the team about your work
• Achieve goals in a fast-paced environment

Skills Required:

• 3-6 years of Quality Assurance experience in Web and Mobile testing
• Deep knowledge of testing techniques and tools (functional and non-functional)
• Proficiency with the usage of Rest-Assured with Java for API testing
• Expertise in API testing with Postman or Swagger
• Experience designing and running performance tests with K6 or JMeter
• An eye for well-designed UI/UX
• Exceptional attention to detail
• Commitment to quality
• Fluent English
• Excellent oral and written communication skills (primarily Slack, Jira)

Nice to have:

• Familiarity with looking up Splunk logs
• Contribute to mobile application automation tests using Dart/Flutter or Appium
• Database testing
• Basic experience creating UI automation tests using Cypress

Hostfully's co-founders are based in San Francisco and we are a completely remote team. For this role, we are searching for someone who is near the EST timezone, or in Europe to make it easier to schedule and plan meetings. Our development team is located in the US, Canada, Argentina, Brazil, Chile, France, Poland, Kosovo, the Czech Republic, Turkey.
