Data Analyst Intern

Data Analyst Intern:

We are looking for a data analyst intern to join the data science team at Moveworks for the winter. It is an 8-week long, 30 hours/week internship requiring you to be in our headquarter in Mountain View. As a data analyst intern, you will be a member of a team applying data analytical and business acumen techniques to perform industry research, data mining, information synthesis and insights sharing. This is an exciting opportunity to work and learn from the data science team at Moveworks.

What You Will Do:

• Work with cross-functional teams and understand how enterprise operational tasks are being performed
• Perform data analysis in internal and customer datasets to identify common use cases for employee service
• Align consensus with product management team to evaluate the feasibility to automate/accelerate the identified use cases
• Consolidate findings with product management team to gather feedback and iterate
• Support product management / marketing team to craft marketing blogs
• Build effective pipeline to repeat the discovery and validation process for various business roles across customer industries

Who You Are:

• Entering the senior year of your bachelor’s degree or currently pursuing a master’s degree
• Pursuing a degree in data science, mathematics, engineering (or similar technical field)
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently
• Programming knowledge in Python
• Proficiency in at least one programming language and SQL
• Experience with or knowledge of Github
• You are curious and bring genuine excitement to learn new subject areas and are comfortable to be scrappy as and when needed
