Role Overview

Own the financial planning and budgeting process for the FinTech business of Coupang. This includes collaboration with all the leaders and stakeholders in the development of financial plans, analyses, and business insights that drive improved financial decision making. The role will also drive continual process improvement by streamlining and standardizing processes and companywide FP&A processes.

Identify opportunities to improve profitability of the business using data/analysis and assessing risk and opportunity ranges for initiatives and trends.

Partner with our BD team to strike deals and manage financial partnerships with local banks and card companies.

Financial data supports related to various regulations and disclosures obligations related to Fintech.

Key Responsibilities

  • Financial Planning and analysis (30%)
    • Drive the coordination of planning inputs from all fintech functions and business units, including process management via ERP and spreadsheet-based data gathering and alignment of key assumptions and drivers
    • Preparation of various analyses that drive business insight and frame financial risks and opportunities
    • Perform variance analysis
  • Assessing risk and opportunity for new initiatives (30%)
    • Work with parties across the business and the regions to assess risk and opportunity for new initiative in Fintech business
    • Making Financial models / ROI calculation / value creation analysis for operating decisions
  • Manage financial partnerships (20%)
    • Negotiations to form advantageous relationships in partnerships with bank, card companies, PG companies, etc.
    • Prepare the financial analysis materials to lead the negotiations
  • Supports related to various regulations and disclosures obligations (20%)

Essential Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in finance roles; experience in analytics or FP&A
  • Strong quantitative research, data analysis and Excel modeling capabilities
  • Experience managing budgets and spend for a large and international organization
  • Strong knowledge and management of KPIs
  • Mastery of evolving financial systems, tools and technologies to meet the ongoing flexible needs of a fast-moving and evolving industry
  • Proven results of maximizing ROI, allocating resources or capital
  • Ability to view the business from a broader perspective, integrating finance and business issues to develop insight and solutions that add value to a senior management team beyond finance
  • Bachelor’s Degree required

Preferred Qualifications

  • Masters in Business, Finance, Accounting, or related fields.
  • AI/KICPA
  • Fluent in English
