The Web3 Risk Business Development and Account Manager will play a critical role in expanding the company’s footprint in the Web3 risk and compliance landscape. This position will focus on identifying new business opportunities, nurturing client relationships, and providing risk management solutions tailored to the Web3 ecosystem. The role requires a deep understanding of blockchain technology, decentralized finance (DeFi), and regulatory requirements, as well as the ability to manage and grow a client portfolio while mitigating risks associated with Web3 technologies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify, prospect, and engage with potential clients, including crypto exchanges, DeFi platforms, NFT projects, and Web3 enterprises.
- Develop and execute go-to-market strategies to grow the company’s Web3 risk management solutions.
- Collaborate with internal teams (product, legal, marketing) to shape the company's offerings, aligning with market demand and regulatory requirements.
- Build strategic partnerships and alliances with key players in the blockchain ecosystem.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, market movements, and regulatory changes that impact risk management in Web3.
Account Management:
- Manage a portfolio of high-value clients, ensuring strong relationships, customer satisfaction, and retention.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients regarding Web3 risk management solutions, compliance, and regulatory services.
- Provide tailored risk assessments and advisory services to clients, helping them navigate the complexities of the Web3 landscape, including AML (Anti-Money Laundering), KYC (Know Your Customer), and sanctions compliance.
- Work with clients to proactively identify potential risks and create mitigation strategies, including smart contract audits, security evaluations, and regulatory compliance monitoring.
- Ensure clients are leveraging the company’s solutions to optimize performance, reduce risk, and stay compliant with international laws.
Risk and Compliance Strategy:
- Collaborate with the legal and compliance teams to develop comprehensive risk management frameworks for Web3 clients.
- Assist in the design and implementation of risk mitigation strategies, including financial risk modeling, security protocols, and market volatility management.
- Provide industry insights and feedback to the product team to enhance existing risk management tools and develop new services.
- Educate clients and partners on best practices for security, fraud prevention, and compliance within the Web3 ecosystem.
Performance Tracking and Reporting:
- Set clear performance metrics for business growth and account success, and provide regular reports to leadership on sales pipeline, client satisfaction, and risk-related concerns.
- Track market trends, competitive landscape, and client feedback to adjust sales strategies and drive continuous improvement.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Risk Management, or a related field. Advanced degrees or certifications in blockchain, risk management, or compliance are a plus.
Experience:
- 5+ years of experience in business development, account management, or risk management in the Web3, blockchain, or fintech sectors.
- Proven track record of managing high-value client relationships and developing business within a technical or highly regulated industry.
- Experience with risk assessment, compliance, and regulatory standards related to blockchain, cryptocurrency, and decentralized finance (DeFi).
Skills:
- Deep understanding of blockchain technology, decentralized finance (DeFi), and Web3 infrastructure.
- Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements (e.g., AML, KYC, OFAC sanctions) and how they apply to Web3 projects.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Ability to manage multiple client accounts and a sales pipeline effectively.
- Analytical and strategic mindset, with the ability to identify and solve complex problems.
- Familiarity with Web3 risk management tools such as blockchain explorers, smart contract auditing platforms, and compliance software.
