Backend Engineer at rootPe

We are looking for a skilled Backend Developer with experience in Java and Go. The ideal candidate should have 3-10 years of hands-on experience in backend development, be proficient in creating robust and scalable applications, and be comfortable working in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain backend services using Java and Go.
• Collaborate with frontend developers, designers, and other team members to design and implement new features.
• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code.
• Perform code reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers.
• Troubleshoot and debug applications to optimize performance.
• Design and implement database schemas and queries.
• Ensure the best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications.
• Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 3-10 years of professional experience in backend development.
• Proficiency in Java and Go programming languages.
• Strong understanding of RESTful APIs and web services.
• Experience with database technologies such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, or MongoDB.
• Familiarity with version control systems like Git.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Knowledge of Microservices architecture.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with Docker or Kubernetes
• Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS, GCP, or Azure.
• Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
• Experience in API first principle and related standards like Open API
• Experience with Modern frameworks of java such as Quarkus, Micronaut etc and reactive programming.
