ESSI has an exciting opportunity for a Business Development Associate to join our team based in New Delhi, India.

As a core member of our Business Development Team you will develop and manage systems level requirements for highly complex projects in Homeland Security, Surveillance, and Intelligence domains. You will interact with core technology vendors, clients, and systems users to translate their requirements into specification, design, systems, and manage relationships.

Career in Systems Engineering

  • You will learn to plan and perform procurement and project management assignments in conformance with design, engineering and customer specifications
  • You will grow into a supervisory role to lead a team of engineers through project completion; be responsible for major technical/engineering projects of increasing complexity and importance
  • Learn to coordinate the activities of engineers assigned to specific engineering projects

Primary Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Handling a high volume of inquiries while providing a high quality of documentation and research support.
  • Writing up accurate and grammatically correct sales correspondence.
  • Effectively communicating with customers in a professional and friendly manner.
  • Supporting the purchase and project operations teams.
  • Carrying out administrative tasks such as data input, processing information, completing paperwork and filing documents.
  • Organizing sales promotional campaigns; Participating in Seminars, Technical Meetings, and Expos.
  • Completing the administrative needs of the Sales Department.
  • Making follow-up calls to confirm sales orders or delivery dates.
  • Responding to sales queries via phone, e-mail and in writing

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, IT, Commerce, or Business Administration.
  • Grasp of written English documentation standards.
  • Must be able to Track, analyze, and communicate commercial technology trends and recommendations to a non-technical audience.
  • Ability to travel as required.
