Quantum Platform Engineer Manager

The Zapata Platform team helps customers transform and evolve their business by building Zapata’s workflow platform OrquestraTM As a Software Engineer working on the Platform team, you'll have the opportunity to work on everything from the engine that powers the quantum workflow language to the systems that enable users to easily analyze workflow data. Behind everything OrquestraTM users see is the architecture built by the Platform team to keep it running. From Integrating quantum hardware to building the next generation of quantum software algorithms we make building Zapata’s quantum portfolio possible.

Responsibilities:
• Manage the software development activities for Zapata’s OrquestraTM Platform teams as well coordinating the deployment of new releases.
• Hands on involvement with the team designing and developing the Orquestra Platform and leading SDLC and quality best practices.
• Work with a team of software developers in a multi-feature development environment
• Engineer, record, and document solutions to common and difficult problems.
• Collaborate with the product team to improve the implementation and configuration of Zapata's
products and platforms.

• Mentor and support other engineers as to best practices and design.

Required Qualifications:
• Minimum 10 years of professional experience, with 5 years managing Software Engineering teams
• Experience designing Machine Learning related applications for large enterprise environments.
• Well versed in Agile SDLC practices and methodologies with an eye towards process
improvement.
• Deep coding experience with languages such as Java, Go, Scala, C/C++, and Python
• Experience design and building network servers and services.
• Experience building and maintaining systems for high-volume transaction processing, data
stream processing, and big data platforms.
• Experience with service meshes, microservices, and API design.
• Experience with DevOps Pipelines and build and deployment processes.
• Experience with container technologies such as Kubernetes, Docker
• Experience with cloud providers such as AWS, Azure, GCP
